Sunbuild wins four awards including the most prestigious President’s Award, at the 2020 Excellence in Building and Construction Awards held at the Darwin Convention Centre, Saturday October 31.
The team was excited to receive four awards including the highest overall honour, The President’s Award for the George Brown Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre. The centre also won the $5-10M Commercial and industrial Award with the STEAM Centre Darwin High School winning the $10-$20M Commercial and Industrial Award. A huge congratulations to Felicity Waldmann who also took out Office Professional of the Year. A massive achievement.
Sunbuild Director and Construction Manager, Jim Eadie, had incredible passion for the George Brown Visitor Centre project from day one. We had the best design and construction team on the job, with innovation sitting at the core.
‘The construction of the George Brown Visitor Centre was not just about Sunbuild and our consultants, but our trades people. The trades on the job saw this project as something so special, something they won’t get the opportunity to do again, something they can leave behind, something they had a true passion for. This shone through for Sunbuild and something Neil and I are really proud of. This is what really does set our industry a part from others in the Territory’, said Mr Eadie.
