Project Description

A highly prestigious project in more ways than one, Darwin’s Rail Terminal project required a construction company with excellent local knowledge, stakeholder management and vision.

Not only was Sunbuild responsible for a terminal that would be a part of the world famous Ghan Expedition; it also managed the installation of integrated artworks by the Larrakeyah people.

Having engaged the Jumbana Group to consult the Larrakeyah people, Sunbuild made the vision a reality, using its first-rate design expertise and seamlessly implementing the artwork into the construction schedule.

Successfully delivering the $3.7million structure within an 18-week construction period, Sunbuild delivered the main terminal building, platform, car parking areas and associated landscaping.

Our client’s DIPE, Stephen Hoyne and KBR’s Lucio Maddalozzo were extremely happy with the outcome. The Ghan arrived safe and well.
