An outstanding example of delivering a challenging project to specifications and ahead of time, the refurbishment of the 25-year-old Highway House building required working with two clients in a building that was occupied at the time—always a difficult caveat for a construction company.
Completed in October 2011, the project included the removal of internal finishes of office floors, upgrading toilet blocks, adding an additional level, extending lift shafts, adding a chilled water plant and overhauling the front façade.
In terms of logistics, this was quite a challenge but Sunbuild excelled, using complex planning and precise timing while working with DCI Northern Territory Government (internal fit out) and Randazo Investments (base building works).
The project was completed ahead of time, with seamless changeovers between internal floors, ensuring few disruptions to staff and minimal variations in costs to the client.
