The Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) expansion at Darwin Private Hospital involved the design and construction of a two-story facility to enhance sterilisation services and support the hospital’s operational needs.
The expansion was vital in meeting the growing demands of its operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The project had to seamlessly integrate with the existing hospital infrastructure without disruption to the hospital’s occupants and daily functioning. This required a highly coordinated and efficient effort along with keeping our client informed at every step to ensure minimal disruption.
Alongside the project’s integration, stringent measures were implemented to manage noise and dust which were crucial for preserving the sterile environment adjacent to active operating theatres.
